Session 1: Resistance is Revealing: Overcoming Barriers to Technology Adoption: Technologists complain about resistance, but often stop there. Managers in turn complain about obstreperous techies, but often stop there as well. Fortunately, resistance can be revealing. This seminar will help you open the floodgates of collaboration.
Session 2: Consulting Aikido: Discovering and Nurturing the Seeds of Change: There are many causes of change in organizations, but the most powerful momentum for change comes from inside. Often, in our enthusiasm for a vision or a tool, we forget to build the path along which people can easily follow, or even lead. This seminar will help you build sustainable change processes.
Session 3: Technology Promotion: Responsible and Effective Approaches: Although it's not always obvious, many nonprofit technology projects are severely hampered by the ways in which they, and other projects, have been promoted. The interests of the projects and the interests of the organizations are both undermined by promotion that is alienating, anxiety based, and technocentric. This seminar will help you build a constructive climate for technology adoption.
