| William Trochim's Introduction to Concept Mapping for Planning and Evaluation is a great primer on the use of visual idea tools for project management. One of the most common problems I see in nonprofit organizations is an unfortunate rush toward premature categorization of concepts. This means we end up asking the wrong questions when it comes to a great many decisions. Visual tools such as concept mapping can help us make new connections, achieve new insights, and ask better questions.
