Network for Good :: Hurricane Relief Efforts and Preparedness

Network for Good is maintaining a list of charities working on relief efforts in the wake of Hurricane Katrina. New Orleans is my favorite American city. I find myself wanting to go there and help, but I don't think I can. But money is the next best thing, I guess.

It's completely natural to get caught up in the personal stories of the ongoing disaster in New Orleans. Indeed, I keep trying to find pictures of my favorite places in the French Quarter, because that is my personal connection to the place. But as billions of dollars start flowing back into the area in the coming weeks, it's valuable to see the big picture.
