Michael Singer worries that Voice over IP may fuel a plague of 'dialing for dollars', leading to a situation where the typical home or business receives 150 junk voicemail messages a day. If it's true, I sincerely hope that nonprofits do not contribute to it, but I'm sure some will.
I'm sure this is a bit esoteric for many of you, but I have enjoyed spending time in the last year working through the resources and tools at Ben Shneiderman's page on Treemaps for Space-Constrained Visualization of Hierarchies. What originated as an idea for visually displaying information on a full hard drive has evolved into an entire discipline for the display of hierarchically organized information of many kinds.
